An exuberant and fiercely modern retelling of IPHIGENIA AT AULIS by Euripides, IPHIGENIA 2.0 is filled with pop culture and musical references about the tragic ways in which history repeats itself. When the Greek generals decide to wage war against Troy after the abduction of Helen, the soldiers demand that their leaders make a sacrifice that will match theirs. Agamemnon, King of the Greeks, then has to decide: can — or will — he give up as much as his men?
Directed by Shannon Friday, with new material developed by the cast IPHIGENIA 2.0 is a powerful look at what a leader can demand from his followers.
