You may add to that a recent Amata review on the Lumiere Arts Reader:

Cheers.
[Thank you Melody – this review adds a lot of depth and understanding as to what the work itself is like, and now it is easier to see what it is that people are interpreting from their particular perspectives of awareness and opinion. JS]

John you may add to this list the most recent review of Amata published in the Dominion Post on the 19/04/07 reviewed by Jennifer Shennan.

quote;
“These are some of the hallmark athletic acts of daring that have given New Zealand contemporary dance its international reputation. AMATA is adding to that achievement.”
[Indeed this review now on theatreview and all Audience Members were advised. I hope to have another over the weekend based on the Wellington season. – JS]

What I would like to add is my incredulity at the fact that the display ad for AMATA in today’s DomPost does not include the performance times!
Ring the ticketmaster phone number (if you happen to be close to a phone) and you are subjected to minutes of recorded messages and queue music – a real turn-off if you are on a cellphone and only want to find out the starting times.
Go to the website, if you happen to be close to a computer, and the info is multiple not very intuitive clicks away.
It really riles me that this highly subsidised company cannot get such a basic thing right in the interests of maximising its box-office income. Or perhaps some marketing guru – who probably gets paid better than most performing artists – could explain the rationale behind the failure to advertise starting times.
