‘We all live inside stories we’ve made up ourselves, or been told, believing them to be the truth’. What have you been telling yourself all these years? How much of a filter on reality tints your memories?

Kick back in the informal (and newly painted!) atmosphere of The PlayPit and throw around a bit of discussion after the reading, or just listen to this great play read out loud.

John Smythe is a Wellington resident, mainly known as a theatre reviewer but with a long history of involvement in writing for stage and screen.

The PlayPit is a series of monthly informal playreadings held in The Pit Bar. Writers are always welcome to submit scripts for a reading to Steph Walker at BATS – email steph@bats.co.nz
