HOW TO MAKE THE MOST OF FRINGE FESTIVAL 2010 

Day One: Friday 12 February 2010
Final Day: Saturday 6 March 2010
Fringe Awards Night: Sunday 7 March 2010

APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN! Spread the news! 

Fringe is doing it a bit different for 2010.  This is how we are rolling.

1.   Get the Registration Form. Email welcome@fringe.co.nz

2.  Get some dosh from our Kakano Funding (New Works) Scheme
Check your eligibility. Download the pdf www.fringe.co.nz (from Friday 4 Sept), email us for one welcome@fringe.co.nz or call us (04) 382 8015.  If you email or leave a phone message we will get back to you by the next working day.

3.  Get some advice and help:

      i.  Call us on the phone (leave a message) (04) 382 8015
     ii.  Email us welcome@fringe.co.nz  
    iii.  Book in to see us during a Getting Started Workshop session.
    iv.  If you drop by the office, we may not be there and we want to you to use your time to your best advantage so please call or email us and make a time to see us during the Getting Started Workshop sessions.

4.  Once your registration and payment has been processed and confirmed you will receive the Participant’s Information Pack.

SNAPSHOT TIMELINE:

Tuesday 1 September:  applications for Fringe 2010 registration and Kakano Funding Applications are available on www.fringe.co.nz website (from Friday 4 Sept) or email welcome@fringe.co.nz or call Fringe (04) 382 8015. 

Monday 21 September:  Kakano Funding Applications can be received back by the Fringe Office.

Friday 2 October 5pm:  Kakano Funding Applications close. Participants applying for Kakano Funding must submit Kakano Funding Application and Fringe registration form as well pay registration fee.  

Wednesday 14 October:  Kakano Funding recipients announced. Thanks Creative New Zealand!

Friday 16 October at 5pm: Fringe registrations close.  

WHAT DOES THE FRINGE PROVIDE?

Your application fee gives you the following:
 

  • A listing in the Fringe 2010 printed programme 
  • A listing and links on the Fringe 2010 website 
  • The ability and access to apply for the Kakano Funding (New Works) Scheme 
  • Public awareness of the Fringe through our marketing and media campaign 
  • Access to a Fringe publicist who can help give you advice and liaises with the media on behalf of the Fringe as a festival 
  • Workshops and information sessions in September and October to assist you in preparing your event 
  • The Participant’s Information Pack – stuffed with lots of useful information to help you prepare your event plus information on the Fringe 2010 Awards 
  • Networking opportunities at events like the Fringe Launch and the September and October workshops 
  • Automatic inclusion in the judging for the Fringe 2010 Awards 
  • Opt-in to be included in Downstage’s Award "Pick of the Fringe 2010" (see Participant’s Information Pack once you register) 
  • Fringe participants/addict card – allowing you discounted tickets to selected Fringe shows and other discounts

GETTING STARTED – WORKSHOPS

If you have ANY questions about Fringe 2010 registration/the process or want help to apply for the Kakano Funding (New Works) Scheme please book in to attend one or more of our Getting Started workshops in September which will be held at Toi Poneke Arts Trust Centre, 61-69 Abel Smith Street, Te Aro, Wellington.
