The itinerary includes The Pumphouse, Bruce Mason Centre, TAPAC, Mangere Arts Centre – Nga Tohu o Uenuku and Telstra Pacific.

WORKSHOP – Finding an Audience in Regional NZ
Sunday 13th March, 3pm to 4pm,
Goodman Fielder Room, Aotea Centre, THE EDGE

An opportunity to talk with Helen Bartle, CNZs Audience Development Manager, publicists working across Aotearoa, presenters making real impact in their regions, companies with a strong track record in touring.

What does the current research tell us about growing audiences for professional performing arts? What is the role of the artist and of the presenter in communicating with an audience when presenting a touring work? Do audiences and the communication channels we use to reach them differ from town to country, from region to region? What can we learn from one another? How can we work together as a sector to grow audiences for professional performing arts in and  outside of the main centres.

PromPT AGM
4pm Sunday 13 March, Goodman Fielder Room, Aotea Centre, THE EDGE

PromPT Incorporated is the voluntary society that produces the PANNZ Market. Our AGM is the forum to vote in the Executive that govern PANNZ and to have your say on the direction of the organisation. For the Agenda and proposed Constitutional Remits, email lauren@pannz.org.nz .

Please note that since these documents were drafted I have been notified that our fantastic Chair Briar Monro will have to step down from her role on the Executive as she is about to take up a role as a Funding Advisor, Dance and Theatre for CNZ. That means we not only need to vote in a new Chair at this AGM but we would also appreciate some additional nominations for Group Convenors on the Exec.

Please let me know if you are interested. I require nominations in writing prior to Mon 28 Feb in order to accept them for voting at the AGM. All are welcome at this meeting but only registered Market delegates have voting rights.

WORKSHOP – Sector Advocacy
Monday 14th March, 3.30pm to 4.30pm

Join us to discuss some big questions. Does the professional performing arts sector need a stronger collective voice? To whom do we want to speak? What do we want to say? What are our best mediums for this communication? We encourage artists, presenters and all other members of the performing arts sector to attend this workshop.

WORKSHOP – Producers Workshop
Monday 14th March, 4.30pm to 5.30pm

An update on outcomes from last year’s PANNZ Producer’s meeting and subsequent industry events in Auckland and Wellington. An opportunity to share knowledge and collectively progress issues of importance to our profession.

A detailed programme for the PANNZ NZ Performing Arts Market 2011 is now available at http://www.pannz.org.nz/programme.php

I am still accepting late registrations for a couple more days so if anyone else is keen to register for the whole Market please email though your form to me asap.
