SKETCH – ACTORS WANTED

This is for new NZ play Sketch by Kate Morris that is premiering at BATS Theatre in Wellington from 6th – 17th September 2010, directed by Eleanor Bishop.

We are casting for four parts:
Steve Brinro – 40s Male
Nadi Atwood – late 20s Female
Alan Robinson – Early 30s Male
Gunner Lee – Late 30s Male

Sketch is the story of a terminally ill woman and the young Artist-of-the-Moment she approaches to display her final days in a fledging Gallery. Unprepared to deal with the magnitude of the controversial exhibition, the Gallery struggles to main control over the public and the Artist, as a series of personal and PR blows threaten to close the exhibition down for good. However, no matter how well management try to douse the flames, it is soon exposed even the Artist no longer has control. In which case, who does?

Sketch is a new NZ script by Kate Morris, a graduate of the MA in Creative Writing (Scriptwriting), International Institute of Modern Letters from Victoria University. The script of Sketch has won a lot of awards including New Zealand Young Playwright Winner 2009, Write Out Loud Wellington Winner 2009 and the Runner-Up Adam Play Award 2009.

It is directed by Eleanor Bishop (2009 Chapman Tripp Award winner for Best New Director The Intricate Art of Actually Caring) and produced by Page Left productions – http://pageleft.wordpress.com/.
