Yes Fringe is back for 2012!  We are very excited to announce that the 22^nd Wellington Fringe Festival will be held from Friday 10 February to Saturday 3 March 2012 for more than three weeks of Fringe mayhem!!

We are bringing Fringe to its full glory with a three week programme as well as the return of the Fringe Awards.

Fringe is now being delivered by the Creative Capital Arts Trust (CCAT).  This is an umbrella organisation which has been established in order to help with the delivery of key arts events and create a reliable resource for the emerging arts sector in Wellington. 

The first job of the CCAT is to sustain and build the Fringe Festival and Cuba St Carnival, providing a solid structure on which these two events can flourish, while at the same time building capability to produce other arts and creative events as the organisation grows. 

We are really looking forward to delivering our first Fringe under the new Trust.

So…. get those creative juices flowing and help us deliver the most exciting Fringe ever.

A new website is in progress where those interested in performing at Fringe will be able to register online – we will send out another email to let you know when that is live.  Meanwhile it is important to note that Kakano funding is no longer available this year… BUT… you can apply to Council for the Creative Communities Fund.  However the closing date for this is August 31^st.  So don’t delay!!  You can get more information about this and download an application form at:
