The Playground NZ presents 
THE PERFORMANCE ARCADE 2013, WELLINGTON 
CALL FOR APPLICATIONS 

The Performance Arcade is an annual live art exhibition and programme of events located on Wellington Waterfront each summer. It has quickly become recognized as an important platform for New Zealand performance art, with three successful events in Wellington and Auckland over the past two years. A line of shipping containers creates a series of miniature spaces for installation, performance, sonic art, interactive media, forums and live music. Opening onto the bustling life of the waterfront, these sites of encounter engage the public in contemporary art and performance practises outside the familiar constraints of gallery or theatre spaces.

PROPOSALS ARE INVITED FOR THE PERFORMANCE ARCADE 2013 FOR:
1. CONTAINER-SITUATED INSTALLATION/PERFORMANCE
2. PERFORMANCE ART WORKS
3. MUSIC/SOUND PERFORMANCES
4. INSTALLATIONS WITHIN OR AROUND THE ARCADE

The arcade is curated by director/designer Sam Trubridge working with a team from the internationally profiled company The Playground NZ.
