VALE WARWICK BROADHEAD

Colourful, eccentric and incomparably talented performer/producer Warwick Broadhead died peacefully in his home on Waiheke Island on Thursday 9 January.

He had recently opened a new show, Monkey, a serial work to be performed in his home on the first Sunday of every month for the next 30 months.

He will be remembered for his many extravagant theatre works, community-based works, and salon touring of his solo works The Hunting of the Snark and The Selfish Giant, also for his direction of the 2000 Hero Parade and for his contributions to Florian Habicht’s film about his life and a number of his alter-egos, Rubbings of a Live Man.
