Raunchy, provocative, glitzy
Review by Kerry Bennison 08th Mar 2019
Blanc de Blanc promises to be a celebration of Champagne and this is definitely a celebration. It’s raunchy, it’s provocative, it’s glitzy. It’s everything you want from a variety cabaret and so much more. Plus, I love stepping into the Spiegeltent. It feels like you’ve journeyed down several alleyways to find a hidden underground world.
A suave French MC by the name of Monsieur Romeo tantalises the senses as we get lost in his bachelor-pad-esque world. A tinselled backdrop and LED wall give way to sensual dance moves and barely-there lingerie. The entire cast are exquisite. Everyone has a unique personality which makes the evening that much more enjoyable, and the comedic talent and saucy costumes keep me enticed into their every move.
All of the acts are oozing with talent and to speak about them individually would dampen the delight of seeing them for the first time. However, I do need to give special mention to the exceptional aerial acts who pushed the boundaries of their artform.
By the end of the night there are bubbles and balls (and more balls), plenty of champagne and enough foam and flesh to tempt anyone to move to the Moulin Rouge permanently.
Grab your best friends, a glass of wine and come for the cabaret, but stay for an outrageously fun time.
