BASIC MASK WORKSHOP – Wellington    

loonesco presents an eight week workshop in basic mask technique and performance. The workshop will focus on learning specific mask performance techniques, with a solid foundation in physical acting and improvisation.

Meeting once a week the group will receive a comprehensive introduction to basic mask, focusing on the simple techniques and skills needed to create and perform mask work.

Rather than a short weekend workshop our aim is to develop participants skills over time, culminating in a public showing of the work created over the 8 weeks. 

NUMBERS WILL BE STRICTLY LIMITED TO 8 PARTICIPANTS ONLY 

When:  The workshop will be run once a week for 8 weeks
Beginning Monday July 28th (7-10)
Ending with a weekend workshop
Sat 21st Sept (10-3) and Sun 22nd (10-8) with a public presentation.  

Where:  Central city, Wellington 

Who:  All sessions will be led by Will Harris (see below) 

Cost:  $160 per person

loonesco
loonesco is a theatre company dedicated to creating, performing and producing original work across a number of mediums. Since its inception in 2005 the company has performed and taught all over NZ and currently has more work in production for later this year.

Will Harris
Will has trained with, among others, Antonio Fava, Desmond Jones, and Monika Pagneaux. He has a BA in Theatre & Film from Victoria University and has been involved in Wellington theatre for years as a performer, teacher and director. He has recently been teaching and performing all over New Zealand and is currently developing new work for loonesco.
