AKE AKE Audition 

For professional male physical theatre performer.
Age approximately 25 – 40.
Experience in dance and circus vocabularies preferred.

To work in a festival production touring in March 2009, directed by Jessica Sutherland (MTA).

The successful applicant will be a courageous and committed performer who is keen and willing to take on a rigorous performance workload. They will be open to broaching all performance challenges (including stiltwalking, aerial performance and street theatre).

Rehearsal dates:
– Regular training November/December/January (around Xmas break).
– Rehearsal block 9 February – 13 March 2009

Performance season 14 – 19 March 2009.

Ake Ake is an established physical theatre troupe that works in dance, theatre and circus.  At the core of Ake Ake’s work is the essential ensemble and the performer’s presence.  They have been creating and performing original, award-winning works in New Zealand for 10 years.

Audition details:

Saturday 22 November, 1-3pm
