The purpose of the Coordinator, Ticketing and Sales is to oversee Downstage’s ticketing services and sales, marketing and communications initiatives and customer relations. Your role includes the administration and reporting of our ticketing service (PatronBase), customer service and sales both in person and over the phone and working closely with our Marketing Manager to administer targeted group booking campaigns.
The following attributes are sought for this position:
Professional/Technical
· Proficiency and confidence with computer technologies
· Experience in database management
· Competence with the Microsoft Suite
· Customer service and sales
· Systematic, methodical and accurate approach to information management, and to data and record keeping
· Some experience in ticketing preferred
Personal Skills/Qualities
· Proven ability to manage records in an accurate and timely manner
· A positive and results-focused team member
· Ability to show initiative and to work without supervision
· Ability to work under pressure and with multiple deadlines
· Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
· An knowledge of the performing arts
· Respect for culturally diverse communities
Experience in a relevant position is a must, as is the commitment to working at a high level to tight deadlines in a small team environment. This position involves evening work.
