YOU may be able to help us…..

Bare Hunt Collective are looking to interview people who work in and around the Wellington CBD and suburbs: bus drivers, taxi drivers, parking wardens, Posties… Do you know anyone who would like to be interviewed anonymously (or not!)?

We work in the Documentary Theatre genre, actively avoiding type-casting (females can play males or females, different ages, people from different backgrounds).

We are working on our second show, a two-hander all female cast and are bringing this production out of a conventional theatre into a site specific street and/or living room setting.

Our starting points for interviews are the women and men who work on the streets of Wellington: bus drivers, taxi drivers, street cleaners. We meet people and hear stories people would never otherwise get access to, we then get to share them back with the communities who gave them to us. We love what we do and are committed to this project.

We would love to hear from you, tell your friends!!

Some reviews from their first show back/words:
"The honesty and depth of feeling they bring to the piece and their ability to portray the personae of each of the interviewees makes this compelling theatre"
– Ewen Coleman, the Dominion Post

"It’s exciting to see a young group of people trying something new (admittedly something they studied together at Otago). In back/words the Bare Hunt Collective have built a very solid base for future work"
– Uther Dean, Salient
