ALL WELCOME!! to the rehearsed reading of the winner of this year’s Live Screenplay Competition, the seriously funny DOODLEBUG by Peter Griffin.   

The reading will be held on
Saturday 13th November
at BATS Theatre at
2pm (entry by koha)
and will be followed by informal chat with Peter and anyone else who would like to contribute, in The Tasting Room.  

he reading is directed by Conrad Newport with an excellent cast of Paul McLaughlin, Chris Brougham, Phil Grieve, Kate Prior, Sophie Hambleton, Matt Chamberlain, Nigel Collins, Kate McGill and Alex Greig.

While the primary aim of this competition (run by Playmarket/The Play Press) is to encourage screenwriters and to present their screenplay as faithfully as possible, there is also a secret agenda – to introduce a new audience to the potential of the stage as a way to share ideas; to discover new theatre writing talent; and to encourage playwrights to imagine bigger …
