MERCURY THEATRE PHOTO SHOOT
Mass supporters photoshoot and a tour of the Mercury theatre
Assemble by 11 am – Saturday 5 February 2011
There has been a very good response to the photoshoot and theatre tour opportunity which means that the event will definitely take place this Saturday morning!
RAIN or SHINE!
Thanks to all those people who are not able to be with us and who have sent their support and best wishes – we have a number of masks to hold up among the throng during the photoshoot to represent you in spirit.
We know we have a solid core of supporters for the shoot but do not yet know how many people will turn out on the day.
Note too late to come along – if you have not yet responded to the invite and are still thinking about joining the fun please do – assemble in Beresford Square (just off Pitt St 50 steps from K’ Rd) BY 11 am.
Remember colour and noise are to be encouraged. Wear anything you like – some people are definitely dressing up, others are bringing balloons. Placards of support are also allowed.
We will proceed to the Mercury Theatre after a few minutes direction at Beresford Square.
We anticipate the shoot to take no more than 10-15 minutes and then we can assemble inside the foyer of the theatre – courtesy of the Equippers Church.
Andrew Malmo, theatre producer and photographer to the stars will be our photographer with Craig Howard, producer, director, camerman of Shooter Films. Please listen out for their directions to make you look your best for the photos. Gil Hanly sends her apologies. The media may or may not decide to have a presence.
Copies of some of the images will be forwarded to all who attend and who provide an email address – please ensure you sign in when you arrive at Beresford square.
SAFETY MESSAGE: We do not anticipate being on the road during the event but please be aware that traffic will be circulating as usual on K ‘Rd and Mercury Lane. We will have one or two safety marshalls on duty but please be alert and responsible for the safety of yourself, family and friends.
After the shoot and or the theatre tour please feel free to enjoy coffee and refreshments at the new Theatre Cafe in the old Mercury Theatre entrance on K’ Rd. We also recommend Alleluya Cafe in St Kevins Arcade and stroll around the eclectic shopping experience of K’ Rd.
Please note: that participation in the photo shoot implies your agreement for the Mercury Rising Campaign to use your image for the purposes of progressing the campaign.
With best wishes to you all.
