SHORT+SWEET SOUNDS THE CALL FOR ACTORS
The plays are being read, the directors are being chosen and all that’s left is to find the best and brightest actors for this year’s Short+Sweet Festival in Auckland.
Short+Sweet Theatre, the largest ten minute theatre festival in the world, is returning to Auckland in July 2011 as part of the STAMP at THE EDGE programme.
Each year Short+Sweet Theatre presents some of the best ten-minute theatre on the planet as well as helping to launch the careers of many actors, writers and directors.
Over two action packed weeks in July 2011, Short+Sweet Auckland will stage the best 40 plays and theatre works from local and international writers presented by some of the best established and up-and-coming Auckland artists.
Actor registrations for Short+Sweet Theatre Auckland 2011 are now OPEN; if you are interested in performing as part of Short+Sweet, register now!
Registrations can only be accepted from people residing in Auckland and nearby areas. Participation is on a voluntary basis, and participants in the Festival will not be entitled to any payments for fees, salaries, travel, per diems or accommodation.
Registrations close May 8, 2011.
Auditions will be held on the weekends of Saturday 21 & Sunday 22 May, 2011.
Successful actors will perform in Short+Sweet Auckland 2011 which runs from July 5 – 17.
