The Auckland based NEW ZEALAND DANCE COMPANY is holding auditions for male and female dancers and dancer/choreographers for consideration for 2012/2013 development workshops and seasons. South Island dancers are encouraged to attend the Wellington audition.

Professional, short-term contracts and internships are available. Limited secondments are also available upon successful application.  

Please supply an expression of interest cover letter, CV, photos (head shot and full body shot) and two references by November 4th to:

Email format 3 minute maximum unedited excerpts of choreography are invited also.

The audition format will be a ballet barre, contemporary centre and for afternoon call-backs, a prepared one minute solo.

Successful applicants will be notified by December 16^th for one or two contracts and internships on offer:

1. Development workshop beginning February 13^th ending March 24^th  2012

2. Launch season rehearsal and tour beginning May 14^th ending late July 2012.  

Applicants must be willing to maintain availability for 2013 activity and be committed to being an integral part of a new NZ contemporary dance company.
