THANKS TO THE WCC FOR ITS SUPPORT   

Theatreview thanks the Wellington City Council for its support ($3,800) towards ensuring the performing arts content of NZ Fringe 2014 was comprehensively reviewed. 

Over the 3 weeks of the Fringe, Theatreview commissioned and published 76 performing arts reviews of Fringe shows, and published a further 14 review from other sources (mostly the Dominion Post).

In the process we ensured the following outcomes:

• Participants gain peer group, public and self respect by having the work acknowledged and critiqued.
• Audiences feel informed, and are encouraged and developed.
• Excellence is honoured and mediocrity is challenged.
• Theatreview as an historical archive puts NZ Fringe 2014 on the freely accessible record.

We also note that Theatreview has been the only reviewer of some Fringe shows.
