BUSINESS MANAGER The Court Theatre  

The Court Theatre is seeking an experienced Business Manager to join the senior management team.

The theatre is a charitable trust that receives funding from a wide variety of sources including numerous corporate sponsors led by Principal Sponsor, Giesen Wines. However, most income is earned at the box office. The company has a healthy balance sheet.

The company regularly wins accolades and is often referred to as the most successful performing arts organisation in New Zealand. It provides a thriving, vibrant, challenging and stimulating environment in which to work.

The Role

The Business Manager reports directly to the Chief Executive and receives direct reports from the Ticketing, House and Office Manager. Key responsibilities include: systems management, budgeting, financial and administrative reporting, health & safety, human resources and facilities management.

Candidates should have a relevant accounting qualification, experience in business and financial management, and be capable of handling financial reporting, human resources, and inventory control.

Above all, the successful candidate will need to thrive in a positive, upbeat, high-achieving environment, and facilitate and lead that culture. An arts background is not essential.
