You will all remember many of Kristian’s designs for Royal New Zealand Ballet, and doubtless be aware that he had a subsequent distinguished career in many Australian theatre enterprises. 

Michelle Potter, a leading Australian dance scholar and historian, has written a book on Fredrikson and will share that material with us.

The lecture will follow a performance of Lark, choreographed in 2017 by Loughlan Prior, for Jon Trimmer and William Fitzgerald.

You should be proud that your generosity of donations has enabled us to plan this series of annual lectures in honour of Russell Kerr, to acknowledge his monumental contribution to dance in New Zealand.
