BOOKINGS CO-ORDINATOR / PRODUCTION ASSISTANT 

Taki Rua Productions (based in Wellington) is looking for a part time administrator to join a small team to take responsibility for running the bookings process for our very successful schools Te Reo Maori Tour and assisting the Production Manager with their role on all of our productions throughout 2019.  

This role works closely with the Kaiwhakahaere Matua / General Manager, and supports the Production Manager to accomplish theatre production administration requirements. Previous experience in theatre productions would be useful but not essential.  

The role would suit somebody with a strong eye for detail, and an ability to complete tasks in a timely and effective manner. An ability to communicate in te reo Maori and understand tikanga practices would be a significant asset. With flexible working conditions this could suit someone who has other commitments but would like to have some confirmed work around it. 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Primary point of contact for Taki Rua schools bookings.

Manage the operations for booking and scheduling schools performances.

Manage and maintain Taki Rua relationships with school clients.

Support the General Manager with invoicing and accounts for the schools bookings.

Manage and maintain key internal and external relationships

Support the Production Manager to schedule the schools tour.

Support the Production Manager with booking Accommodation, scheduling, booking flights etc for the entire 2019 programme of works.

Draft and deliver tour paperwork including schedules and tour bibles.

Collate key funder accountability materials and reports within the stated time frame.

Ensure Taki Rua policies and procedures are well documented and available for staff, Board and contractors as appropriate

IDEAL PERSON SPECIFICATION:

A desire to learn about Production Management in the theatre industry would be advantageous.

A solid understanding of Xero accounting software would be a bonus.

Strong computer literacy and ability to pick up Taki Rua office systems

Strong communication skills

Strong writing skills

Ability to communicate in te reo Maori would be advantageous

Applies tikanga to working practices

A commitment to following and further developing Taki Rua policy implemented by Nga Kaiwhakahaere (The Taki Rua Board)
