Theatreview 2.0?
Super Dooper posted 26 Feb 2007, 11:29 AM
This site is ace. But I feel like I need something else.
Any plans to include interviews, investigative pieces or other feature-type content? Theatreview readers’ awards? Competitions? A podcast? Poster gallery? Minor film and music sections? On-site ‘Coming Attractions’ section? A panel? Six Degrees of Theatrical Separation?
What would other readers like to see? Up up and away!

I would like it to be chocolate flavoured so I can satisfy both my theatrical and my physical craving in one go.
All those ideas are excellent Super Dooper, but well done John on the hard work that already goes into the site! It’s still pretty great already!

All those ideas are great and duly noted, Super Dooper – keep ’em coming, people … They do require full time management of the site, however, which in turn requires major funding. In fact we can only keep going as we are if funding is forthcoming.
Now that the site is established, and as the first anniversary of theatreview approaches, we are seeking major sponsors (if you have any leads, please click ‘Contact’ and email me) and strategising for further income streams through advertising and professional membership …
In the meantime, while having to make a living elsewhere, contributing to and managing the review content is all I can manage – especially during the Fringe (to which I think I have become addicited, so the inevitable withdrawal phase next week will doubtless also take its toll).

I think it’s time a moneybags sponsor jumped on board here. And some volunteers. I mean, this is really the only essential theatre site in New Zealand. Bet the NBR didn’t see that coming. Great stuff, JS.

Hello Mr Dooper
I applaud your enthusiasm and energy for enhancing this site.
For myself I am happy with it and feel any further enhancement would take away from its focus.
Perhaps you could start a complementary web site, which would include your ideas.
May I suggest you name the site “Super Dooper’s Dodecahedron “
