A fitting tribute to Lewis Rowe, led by Ginette MacDonald and organised by Colleen McColl, saw the memorable thespian off in fine style at Circa Theatre this afternoon.  The finale was a screening of the famous Crunchie Bar TV commercial, in which Lewis is revealed as the Sherriff.

And amid the cucumber sandwiches, etc, that furnished forth the wake tables, were chopped up Crunchie bars. It seems someone had asked Cadburys for residuals on behalf of Lewis and they duly supplied 50 bars – expired. Was that fitting?
