A packed theatre, wine and conversation flowing, and New Zealand’s most successful actor on our stage… Friday August 3 2012 will go down as a night to remember in the long history of Downstage.

Sam Neill arrived for a sound check and a look around in the early afternoon, sporting a policeman’s moustache, courtesy of his current job – Harry, a New Zealand drama series currently shooting in Auckland. When asked how he was feeling, Sam confessed to being a little nervous.
