FESTIVAL & EVENT PRODUCER: NZ Comedy Trust The New Zealand Comedy Trust is a not-for-profit charitable organisation – with a focus on championing the art of laughter so that more people laugh more often. For over 20 years, we’ve passionately showcased the most exciting comedians from New Zealand and throughout the world at the annual NZ International Comedy Festival. The Festival is held over three weeks in Auckland and Wellington before a “best of” showcase tours regionally across New Zealand.

$11.6m NEW FUNDING FOR THE ARTS Three major arts organisations will receive a funding boost in Budget 2016, Arts, Culture and Heritage Minister Maggie Barry says. The New Zealand Symphony Orchestra (NZSO), Royal New Zealand Ballet (RNZB) and Te Matatini Kapa Haka Aotearoa will share $11.6 million of new operating funding over the next four years – a permanent increase of $2.9 million a year for the arts.
