Sophie was born and raised in Whangārei, in which theatre and the arts were pillars in her life. She went on to study philosophy, art history, and English literature – nurturing her analytical and critical thought. Now an English and drama teacher in Te Whanganui-a-tara, she lives within a world of discernment and consistently encourages creativity. On the side she is a budding poet with her first piece to be published later this year in the New Zealand Poetry Society 2024 Anthology. Sophie is, has, and always will be an avid lover of the arts and of expression.
