A lifelong love of the arts started with ballet classes at age three. As a child and teenager, Lauren spent her evenings and weekends at Impact Dance and Stage School, learning tap and jazz dancing and musical theatre. She attended any musical she could. As an adult Lauren has continued dancing, now in the social partner world of Modern Jive (Ceroc) and West Coast Swing.

18 months working at The Court Theatre expanded Lauren’s interest in theatre beyond just musicals, to plays as well, and she enjoyed getting a taste of behind the scenes. She is also a regular at Little Andromeda, which has exposed her to comedy, theatre, poetry, Māori and Pacific works from across Aotearoa.
