Alistair has worked in more than 100 theatre productions; as an actor, director, writer, deviser, stage-manager, lighting and sound designer and technician, follow-spot operator, special-effects operator, set builder, publicist and dramaturg.

He has worked at Shakespeare’s Globe, The Yvonne Arnaud and The Old Vic in England; The Western Australian Theatre Co. The Hole In The Wall Co. and others in Australia; The Herald, Aotea, Sky Theatre, and the Maidment in Auckland; St James, Circa, Downstage, Taki Rua Depot, Te Whaea and Bats in Wellington; The Court, James Hay and Town Hall in Christchurch; Centrepoint in Palmerston North and the Fortune in Dunedin.

Alistair also has extensive film and television credits and has won multiple awards.
