Kate Bartlett (Kāi Tahu/Kati Māmoe/Waitaha) is a movement artist who works at the meeting point between dance, theatre, and performance art. Since graduating from Unitec in 2008, Kate has since completed a Masters in Choreographic Practice from the University of Auckland. In addition to her solo practice, Kate has created and performed work in collaboration with Christina Houghton, Tallulah Holly-Massey, Becca Wood, Sean Curham, and Nisha Madhan. In more recent years Kate has found emphasis in decolonising her arts practice, catapulted onto that haerenga through her work as a performing arts kaiako in a West Tāmāki Makaurau Kura.
