Leslie was born on the coastal land of Brittany in France, eating buckwheat galettes dipped in buttermilk. She’s been living in Te Tau Ihu for 4.5 years. She experienced the transformative power of performance first-hand growing up thanks to her involvement in a grassroots youth-led theater company that supported her and her peers writing, performing and touring plays that were touching on social issues and injustices relevant to their lives. Passionate about how moving bodies have the power to unlock untold stories ever since, she has been a passionate amateur dancer and somatic poet for the last decade. She is always on the look-out for art that will stretch, shape-shift, or haunt her, and in doing so, expand her ability to decay in peace.
