Marlise Hughes has over 30 years experience in community theatre with a couple of years in the middle there touring with professional theatre companies – all behind the scenes. She realised very early she had more to offer back stage than on it! Over those 30 years Marlise has covered most areas of theatre and in the last 10 years has turned to directing, mostly with her partner Matthew Roderick. Together they have also written several shows, mostly youth musicals, but they have also penned a well-received vampire musical, FANG, that has enjoyed successful seasons in several venues in the greater Bay of Plenty area.
