Tate Fountain is a writer, producer, performer, and literary editor based in Tāmaki Makaurau. She has worked in programming and digital marketing roles at various arts festivals across Aotearoa, spanning literature, live arts, and film, and is the current Editorial Committee Lead for the literary journal Starling. She holds a Master of Arts (First Class Honours) from the University of Auckland, with a thesis centred on appropriations of the Eurydice myth by women writers, exploring their evolving quests for creative emancipation through treatments of the Underworld. Her poetry collection, Short Films, was released with Tender Press in 2022.
