Teianna Chenkovich is a postgraduate student in Dance Studies at The University of Auckland. She was born and raised in Seattle, WA, graduated with honors from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, NY, and held a yearlong teaching artist residency with Bonana Dance in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. She has been a dance educator and creator for over ten years, having completing Anne Green Gibert’s Creative Dance Center Summer Institute for Teachers in 2017. She has had choreography performed internationally in the United States, New Zealand, and South Africa, most notably the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown, South Africa.
She is happy to be calling Auckland home, where she does her academic studies, theatre going, hiking, teaching, exploring, and dancing.
