Tess Jamieson-Karaha grew up in Eastbourne and received her bachelor of Acting at Toi Whakaari:NZ Drama School in 2010. Her most recent work includes playing Beth in the web series Pot Luck and Shelley in Seed at Circa in 2015.

She is a regular voice on the radio and her solo theatre piece, Please Help Yourself, was transcribed for Radio New Zealand in 2011. Her many other film and television roles include the young Judy Schollum in Consent – the Louise Nicholas story, War News, How to Meet Girls from a Distance, Catherine in the feature film Births, Deaths and Marriages to be released in late 2016.

Tess wrote, directed and starred in her short film Coffee Group. She is currently writing, teaching the screen acting course for acting students at Whitireia New Zealand and teaching kids of all ages at Rata Studios.
